What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us. The goal of mindfulness is to wake up to the inner workings of our mental, emotional, and physical processes.
What is intuitive rock painting?
Choosing rocks from our natural surroundings and decorating each rock according to a theme, intention or vision you would like to express. The rocks are then placed in special places, bringing the messages and/or creativity for self and others to enjoy.
About The Workshop:
We will start the workshop with a meditation. This will help you to move away from a busy day with lots of busy thoughts and begin to drop into a relaxed state where your creativity can come forward.
You will be working with 3 rocks. After the meditation we will then move into creating one affirmation, one special word and one unique design which will be painted on each rock.
The intention here is to place the rocks altogether in a special place such as a pot plant or at the front entrance of the house, or perhaps you might like to separate them and position them in 3 different spots. Another idea is to place the rocks in a park or under a tree away from your home for other people to enjoy. You never know who might see your message and the difference it could make for them.
The workshop will conclude with sharing what you created and any insights you gained along the way.
What you will need:
3 rocks of any size
Acrylic paints or paint pens or coloured felt pens
A space to relax and enjoy your workshop
Please note, anyone in the family can join the workshop with you on one zoom screen, with one payment. You will all need 3 rocks each.
You do not need any artistic skills for this workshop, just a desire to be creative and have fun.
