You do not need to be an artist to benefit from the process of being creative or making art.
Creativity can literally be drawing stick figures, but when we look at it in terms of therapy, we look for what those stick figures might mean to you. Who are the people you have drawn and what are the dynamics you would like focus on.
Creative arts therapy is about supporting you, the client, to go beyond words and use different forms of art to tap into feelings, thoughts and healing processes.
Words are great and talk therapy is awesome, however sometimes, we just need to use visual tools or express ourselves through body movement or engage in meditation.
There is so much power in allowing yourself to move past the logical brain and tap into the creative brain. There is wisdom within everyone, as well the answers people seek.
This type of therapy supports people to go inward and connect to their own truths, discovering what's best for them.
I, as a creative arts therapist and holistic counsellor, merely hold the space, guide and prompt you through questioning and activities to help you in your own path of healing.
Whilst I plan my sessions to ensure the best possible outcome for you, I also allow for an organic and intuitive process to unfold.
I work with your highest self, connecting to you and your energy. I allow the energy between us to guide me in how best to support you.
Sessions are 1-1.5 hours.
Cost: $110

Holistic counselling is a little different from other more mainstream counselling styles, though it uses much of the same methodology of a variety of other styles of counselling, including conventional counselling and psychotherapy, at times.
To treat a client, holistically is to consider the whole person, typically mind, body and spirit. The Holistic Counsellor’s goal is to assist the client in bringing balance into their whole lives and ensuring the client is in touch with their own needs on a holistic level.
Holistic healing is based on the theory that one element of a person cannot be healthy without all the other aspects of the person being in balance and harmony.
The mind will not be well if the body is not well. The body will not be well if the spirit is not well.
A session of holistic counselling with me is mostly talk therapy.
There might be some assisting tools I use such as life charting or life bubbles, all designed to provide greater clarity and direction for one's life.
Another important part of holistic counselling can be identifying a clients belief system.
This means delving into belief systems, also known as thought patterns, that are negative. They be inherited from a young child or even created from the own mind as a result of environments/situations from childhood.
The bottom line with belief systems is that they are negative, destructive and not serving toward a healthy mindset. Addressing this and implementing new more accurate ways of thinking can be literally life changing.
Sessions are 1 hour.
Cost: $110

A Naturopath is a qualified and holistic practitioner who assesses the individual client and their presenting health issues as a whole entity. This means taking into consideration a persons physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and even environmental influences that could be affecting their overall health.
Naturopaths use a variety of natural remedies, also known as functional medicine, to help assist and restore good health to their clients. These include herbs (liquid or tablets), vitamin & mineral therapy, nutritional counselling, exercise physiology, meditation & breathing techniques, homeopathy and much more.
Pathology is another extremely important tool Naturopaths use to accurately assess a clients disease state or health concern. Analysis of blood test results, ultrasound scans and other pathology results, like stool samples etc, provides vital information that is helpful in creating a tailor made treatment program to the patient.

Herbal medicine is Ah-Mazing!
Herbal medicines come from all around the world, grown in different climates to reach their most therapeutic and medicinal potential. Different parts of the herbs will be used for maximum benefit, such as the flowering top, the leaves, roots or stems. In some cases the whole plant will be used, as it works best when left whole.
We are so lucky to have many of these amazing herbs grown right here in Australia, produced and manufactured under strict regulations, making sure the end product from me to you is 100% pure, efficient and effective in treating many different ailments.
Herbal medicine is especially great for restoring organ and system function within the body, addressing disease states and improving overall general well being. You only need a small amount daily, but the benefits can be, without a doubt, incredible.
As a qualified herbalist, I have successfully used many herbs in restoring patients back to great health!
These are words we've all heard at some point, maybe through talking with friends or at your local health food store or pharmacy. But what is vitamin and mineral therapy?
The best and most ideal way to get vitamins and minerals is through your diet. For example, we know that oranges and capsicums are great for vitamin c, and we know that spinach and read meat is a great source for iron, but what happens when that's not enough and the person still seems to be struggling with a health complaint.
Conditions like chronic fatigue (also known as adrenal fatigue), stress, insomnia, and excess oestrogen absolutely respond to eating a well balanced diet but in some of these cases, supplementing or adding vitamins and minerals can help with significant improvement and recovery.
It has been scientifically researched that these conditions require higher daily doses of magnesium, vitamin c and B vitamins to help address the symptoms, therefore needing supplementation.
We always aim to rectify a client's issues with vitamin and mineral therapy, but ultimately guiding them back to nutrition and healthy eating plans.

After 6 years of suffering with PMS induced water retention and bloating and after being told by doctors that my symptoms were a result of me reaching my late 20’s, a friend suggested I see a naturopath. As a result I booked a consult with Sanja and my life hasn’t been the same since!
